It's official....I accepted a new job today. I will be working for the Children's Health Council in Palo Alto. I'm going to be working on an exciting program called Schools Attuned (www.allkindsofminds.org). The program trains teachers to work with learning differences. The program is based on the work of Dr. Mel Levine. He has studied brain differences in children. It's very interesting!
Even better is that it is a 20 hr a week job. This is awesome because I can be home more and continue to explore where my life is going.

- Hmmm...Who am I? let's see the facts first. I'm 48 years old, married to my high school sweet heart, Bob. I I'm a mess most of the time, but everyone always thinks I really have it together. I love to listen to people and hear their stories. Art and writing are my spiritual practices. I deeply believe in god and that god is love. My theology is wide and constantly changing. When I was 18 I wrote out 4 pages single spaced on spiritual questions I had about life. I'm not sure I've answered any of them.

lisa, mel levine was a lifesaver for me last year as i was processing some of madeleine's stress in school. i love his approach and can only imagine what a rich contributor you will be at your new job. also, thinking of you often with bob's loss, hoping you are receiving every ounce of comfort and wisdom you need to get through this.
